I am so excited to finally be launching my Substack! I am really looking forward to showing up on this platform that is designed to welcome writing and conversation and encourages sharing and collaborating on topics that matter to me in a positive and supportive community.
What will I share on my substack?
My home tours and room reveals - including design sources (for paid subscribers)
Travel - exclusive trip content and itineraries
On-going personal home projects and updates
Client projects
Entertaining and holiday content
Interior Design focused content and resources
Favorite products and gift guides
Lifestyle - exploring ways to design a life you love
I am especially excited about my home tours and getting back to some of the building and design topics I left off on during our build. I‘ve had several requests to show our home, and now that we’ve completed much of it, I think this is the perfect place to share the reveals and discuss all aspects of the design!
How often will content be posted?
I am looking forward to making a commitment to consistency and have made room in my life to explore this creative outlet. I plan to post twice weekly updates and more!
Why Subscribe?
Subscribing isn’t just about receiving posts, but it allows you to be a part of a design centric, thoughtful and inspiring community. Paid subscribers will not only have access to exclusive content (design sources, travel guides, full posts, etc.), but they will also be able to share ideas and ask questions in the comments. I truly look forward to building community here!
How is Substack different than a blog?
Honestly it’s not that different in certain ways! It reminds me a lot of the blogs of the early 2000’s, but better! I had my own little blogspace after Chris and I were first married “The Sauer Stories” and Substack definitely has a similar and nostalgic feel to it. At the same time it incorporates all the best of what we love about a central social media platform (and minimizes the things we don’t like!) It basically takes all the “blogs” you love and brings them into one central place and makes it easy to engage. For creators, it makes creating content and engaging with your community a simpler and more streamlined process - which encourages more consistency. From what I’ve seen so far, creators are more willing to share “behind the scenes” and write more in depth about personal topics in this “safer” and more thought provoking space.
I hope that you will join me on this exciting new journey and become a part of a community that focuses on designing a life you love!
